Our Philosophy
- To appeal to our clients, whether adding to their collections or furnishing their homes, we carry a large and varied stock of items from the last four hundred years. Whatever your purchase, our focus is on originality, quality and decorative appeal.
- We take great care to label all items for sale, providing a clear description of the item, the medium, approximate date of manufacture, price including VAT and any restoration details.
- Most of our antiques are purchased privately and are therefore fresh to the market. In addition the avoidance of auctioneer’s commissions ensures competitive prices to our clients whether buying or selling.
- We feel that modern as well as traditional interiors are enhanced by quality antiques and in this respect a mix of items from different periods often works well, such as 17th century furniture complemented by 20th century paintings.
- Items are displayed in showroom condition, ready to place in your home. Restoration work is carried out sympathetically with regard to age and patination and appropriate conservation materials are used where necessary.
