Description / Expertise
Oil on canvas. Norman Battershill was born in 1922 and studied at the Twickenham College of Art. He has exhibited at a wide range of venues and has been elected a Member of several national societies, including the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. An old label on the reverse indicates that this painting was exhibited with the Chelsea Art Society at the Chenil Galleries. The frame is hand built and decorated.
